How Willow makes money

Two ways, and neither of them is charging you to spend. Willow earns through standard card program economics, and through the margin between the gross rewards the USDG program generates and the rate passed through to users. The model is built on balances and spend volume, not on per transaction charges.

This is worth stating plainly because it explains the incentives. Willow does better when you hold a balance and use the card, which is the same thing you want. It does not do better when you are charged.

Limits

Spending limits are set by you when you authorize the card, and can be changed or revoked at any time. Program level limits, per transaction and monthly, also apply and vary by market and verification tier. Full limits are published before launch. limits TBD

Premium tiers

Later phases add premium tiers with higher limits, physical cards and enhanced rewards. The standard tier stays free.
